OAFLAD\u2019s newly elected leadership will serve from 2025-2027.<\/p>\n<p>The newly elected Steering Committee, comprising two representatives from each region, will guide OAFLAD\u2019s mission to champion the implementation of the new OAFLAD Strategic Framework 2025-2030, which was also endorsed during the 29<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0General Assembly. Following OAFLAD\u2019s regional rotation system, this year\u2019s presidency position goes to West Africa, and the elected leaders are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>President:<\/strong>\u00a0H.E. Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Vice President<\/strong>: H.E. Dr. Ana Afonso Dias Louren\u00e7o, First Lady of Angola<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Steering Committee members<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>H.E Dr. Ana Afonso Dias Louren\u00e7o, First lady of Angola<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs. Monica Chakwera, First lady of Malawi<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio, First lady of Sierra Leone<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, CON: First lady of Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs. Constancia Mangue de Obiang, First lady of Equatorial Guinea<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs. Antoinette Sassou N\u2019guesso, First lady of Republic of Congo<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs.Rachel Ruto, First lady of Kenya<\/li>\n<li>H.E Mrs. Zinash Tayachew, First lady of Ethiopia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Under this new leadership and with the new Strategic Framework 2025-2030, OAFLAD, will prioritize four strategic pillars: health, education, gender-based violence (GBV), and women\u2019s economic empowerment (WEE) which reflect OAFLAD\u2019s commitment to addressing the most pressing issues facing children, youth and women.
