Her compassionate heart drives her passion for the welfare of vulnerable children, whom she is always ready to assist.<\/p>\n<p>Focus on Ending Child Marriage<\/p>\n<p>Upon assuming her role as First Lady, Mrs. Mutinta Hichilema began working with organizations, associations, and government ministries that champion causes close to her heart.<br \/>\nOne of her main concerns is ending child marriage. In 2023, she passionately launched this campaign and has since traveled across the country, advocating against child marriage through traditional leaders, church leaders, and schools.<\/p>\n<p>HIV Advocacy and Youth Empowerment<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Hichilema also champions the fight against HIV infections among youths. She partnered with UNAIDS to promote awareness against youth reinfection and mother-to-child transmission, ensuring that communities receive the right information to curb new cases.<\/p>\n<p>Promotion of Education<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Mutinta Hichilema is committed to equal access to education.<br \/>\nShe constructed the Mutinta Hichilema Autism and Special Needs Centre in Kabwe, Central Province, which was handed over to the government in November 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, she supports the free education policy by providing scholarships to 23 girls in tertiary institutions and 20 girls in secondary schools, in partnership with the Merck Foundation.<br \/>\nThis is a continuation of the support she and President Hichilema have given for many years to underprivileged children, many of whom are now employed in various organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Faith and Moral Leadership<\/p>\n<p>Mutinta Hichilema is a committed Christian who upholds good morals and values, inspiring women and young girls across the nation. She is a role model to many young women who admire her success, resilience, and dedication to society.<\/p>\n<p>Philanthropy and Community Support<\/p>\n<p>The First Lady discreetly carries out her philanthropic work, focusing on helping vulnerable children and uniting families.
