The Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone, will host a high-level side event on the margins of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80).<\/p>\n

Under\u00a0 the theme \u201cBuilding Resilience for Women and Girls in the Face of Climate Change and Conflict\u201d<\/em>, the event will underscore the urgent need to safeguard women and girls\u2019 rights in conflict- and climate-affected settings, ensuring uninterrupted access to health, education, and other essential services.<\/p>\n
