First Lady of the Republic of Gambia
Madam Fatoumatta Bah Barrow is actively engaged in various humanitarian and charitable organizations with activities targeted at the most vulnerable groups of society. The public role that she assumed as First Lady focuses predominantly on providing assistance to all Gambians, with a particular focus on women and children. From 2000 to 2008, Madam Barrow worked as a sales and marketing agent at Elton Oil Company, at local mobile telephone company. From 2009, Madam Barrow- was occasionally involved in small business activities. In 2017, Madam Barrow initiated her Foundation, the Fatoumatta Bah Barrow or ‘FaBB’, to pursue her desire to not only bring about change but also help save and improve the lives of the vulnerable groups of society throughout The Gambia.
